Is “I didn’t know” an acceptable qualification for President

“I didn’t say it as well as I should have,” about his elitist misstatements regarding Pennsylvania voters.

“I didn’t know,” about Rev. Wright’s hateful comments

“She didn’t mean,” about his wife’s proclamation she was proud of her country for the first time in her adult life

When is this inability to communicate, this failure to see the truth in people and events, this blind support for those close to you–while laudable characteristics in Everyman, the people who make up 99% of the American population–when does it disqualify you to lead the free world?
