Tech Tips for Writers is an (almost) weekly post on overcoming Tech Dread. I’ll cover issues that friends, both real-time and virtual, have shared. Feel free to post a comment about a question you have. I’ll cover it in a future Tip.
Q: I always forget the keyboard shortcuts for the menu commands. Can you give me a list?
A: I’ll do one better. MS Office 07 and 10 makes that easy. Just push the Alt key and it tells you what number or letter is associated with which menu command.
To activate the shortcut, push Alt+the exposed letter or number. For example, for Review, push Alt+R.
That’s it. Simple, hunh.
