Calling All Thriller Writers–ThrillerFest is Here

If you’re an action/thriller writer, this is the conference for you. Not only is it the biggest of its kind, it’s about the only thrillerfestone around. I’d like to go, but it’s in NY and times aren’t that lucrative for a struggling writer, so I will be attending vicariously through the ThrillerFest website. Since I’m a writer for the Examiner, they let me download this cool logo. OK. They’d let you do it too if you went to the Press section of their website, but I do write for the Examiner!

Here’s their rundown on what we-all can expect:

Open to all Thriller fans, Thriller authors, and would-be Thriller authors.

ThrillerFest V is the premier thriller event of the year! Featuring the world’s most popular authors of fiction’s blockbuster genre. Hundreds of best loved and best selling authors will be in New York City to mix and mingle with fans during this unprecedented event.

In recognition of his legendary career, Ken Follett will receive the ThrillerMaster 2010 Award at the gala banquet on July 10. Presenting the award to him will be ThrillerMaster 2009 David Morrell.

The Thriller Awards and Silver Bullet Award will also be presented at the Awards Banquet.

ThrillerFest V Spotlight Authors include Harlan Coben, Lisa Scottoline, and Gayle Lynds.

ThrillerFest V includes a multitude of author panels, signings, a complete bookstore on premises, and a reader’s reception. Registration for ThrillerFest, CraftFest and AgentFest is open to everyone. Watch this website for fabulous money-saving packages.

The conference will culminate Saturday night, July 10, at the Thriller Awards Banquet. Day passes will be available. Complete details and date/rate schedule will be posted soon at www.thrillerfest.org.

  2. You and I shall both hope someone posts updates for us. Last year, I spent hours on the website after the fact, swearing I’d make it next year (which is now this year).
