Today We Honor Veterans

In the USA, Veterans Day annually falls on November 11. This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. Veterans are thanked for their services to the United States on Veterans Day.

  1. Watching the Rembrance Service on Sunday led by the Queen and her family I was very moved to see the old (and many not so old) veterans marching past the Cenotaph. So many ready to give their lives for others, so many that have lost theirs. A very sobering and humbling reminder to us all and this post further brings home to us the sacrifice and difficult job of all service personnel everywhere. May God keep your children safe.
