I admire your genuine love for your country. I wept too watching those dreadful events.

I really hope no one else does. America doesn’t get attacked on our homeland too often. Like almost never. We need to make sure it never happens again.

Amen to that.

A tragic day indeed which will resonate forever. Sombre (SA spelling) is the mood always on this day –

It is. I like to write, once I get past being depressed, because I can visit a completely different world.

Sadly I don’t need those videos to remember that day…

It’s one of those events. I spend several hours watching TV coverage I’ve seen a dozen times and still cry.

Seeing the US that vulnerable definitely shaped my thinking. Hard not to. I never get past today without a lot of somber thoughts.

I sure can’t. I just spent two hours watching the tribute, listening to our President’s compassionate words. I don’t even feel guilty for not working!

I was a senior in high school when the the towers went down. No one knew what to do. We just stood in class staring at the ancient TV our teacher had wheeled in. People from other classrooms were pouring in and we all just stood there knowing that nothing would ever be the same.

And you were right. A seminal event in lives. It’s probably part of the reason both of my kids joined the military.

I don’t think there’s a soul in the world who isn’t aware of the events of that tragic day.

That’s true, innit. Me too, and then I watched Fox’s memorial service and everything that went with it. I am somber today.
