I’m visiting America’s Heartland!

I am out of pocket next week. I’m visiting my wonderful sister in rural Marion Indiana.

I can’t wait to live a measured, natural life for a week where we can veges, check on her bee hives, visit the blue birds nesting in the boxes, play BINGO (maybe), eat indoors at a restaurant, and talk! I probably won’t do much commenting until next weekend but then, I’ll get everything caught up.

Have a wonderful week!

  1. I can feel the excitement of being with your sis, and enjoying some down time. That’s how I feel when I travel to MD to see my brother and his family. Just bliss to be with family and “veg.” Hope you had a terrific journey and get-together. xo

    • I know what you mean. I liked your last post–about walking in the park so you could remove your mask. The gorgeous red-and-black bird you found (Google thinks its a Red-winged Blackbird but they aren’t indigenous to your area). Timely thoughts, Damyanti.

    • Cabbage is tasty, Jeff! I thought of you during this trip as my wonderful sister shared her daily devotional exercises. We also discussed the Creation Museum and the Ark over in Kentucky (I think).

  2. Enjoy your time over there. This is an outstanding plan 🙂 Please share your experiences with a lovely fiction saga.:))) Have a wonderful week!

  3. Thank you for sharing!!… we are almost going be neighbors for a time, about a 3 hour drive… hope the weather is good and you have a wonderful time here on the prairies… 🙂

    Until we meet again…

    May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
    Brightened by a song
    in your heart,
    And warmed by the smiles
    of people you love.

  4. Feel free to share more on your trip, even via direct contact with me! (exploring relocation options…Yellow Springs, Ohio, so far, is the only one on the list…unless you have more urban places like Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, et al!)

    • It is! Indiana is a an open state, compared to California and New York which are extremely conservative in their approach to COVID (not politics though). I’m bringing a mask because it’ll be required on the plane and in the airport but otherwise, my skin can breath!

      Of course, I’m vaccinated.
