It’s America’s birthday and I’m celebrating. My Army Staff Sergeant son is still in Japan–Okinawa. My Navy LT CDR daughter’s still in the DC area in the next of her long line of Navy jobs. They do not leave her in one position for long! I thank both of them and all those soldiers who fought for America’s uncertain future so long ago.
God be with all of us.
I was going to replace this next one but it’s been viewed by
29 million people!
I couldn’t find a better celebratory song.

I want to include all my efriends from Canada in the celebrations though I’m a few days late for Canada Day:
July 1 is Canada Day. It commemorates the joining of Canada’s original three provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the Canada province, which is now Ontario and Quebec) as one nation in 1867. The holiday was previously called Dominion Day, for the Dominion of Canada in the British empire.
Jacqui Murray is the author of the popular prehistoric fiction saga, Man vs. Nature which explores seminal events in man’s evolution one trilogy at a time. She is also the author of the Rowe-Delamagente thrillers and Building a Midshipman, the story of her daughter’s journey from high school to United States Naval Academy. Her non-fiction includes over a hundred books on integrating tech into education, reviews as an Amazon Vine Voice, a columnist for NEA Today, and a freelance journalist on tech ed topics. Look for her next prehistoric fiction, Laws of Nature, Summer 2021.

From my front lawn. I’m too old to futz with the parking issues. You? They must be amazing in Philadelphia.

We won’t go into Philly tonight. Instead, we’ll go to the fireworks at a nearby town.

Thank you for sharing!!… Happy 4th of July!… hope peace reigns supreme today, and every day, and no one has to venture into harms way (Sgt. Larry “Dutch” Woller, 12th Marine Regt., Vietnam 1965-1966)… 🙂
Until we meet again..
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life’s passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Happy 4th of July, Jacqui and thanks so much for including Canada’s birthday as well. At the Peace Arch border crossing between BC and Washington state is a monument called The Peace Arch. On one side it reads “Children of a common mother”, and on the other side it reads “Brethren dwelling together in unity”. I always liked that sentiment.
