Another excellent story from Lee McKenzie

Congratulations to Lee McKenzie for the release of Shattered, her latest riveting story about a teenager who overcomes seemingly insurmountable problems:

Nineteen-year-old Libby Brown is on her way to the winter Olympics for her shot at the Gold. But on a last practice run, an out-of-bounds snowboarder collides with her, and she wakes up in a hospital unable to move her legs. Terrible accident they say, but was it? Or did someone want her off the U.S. slalom team? Libby must find the truth or remain shattered forever.

I haven’t read this yet–just finished another book by Lee, Princess of Pulgas (a page-turner–I’ll review it soon). I’ve reviewed Not Guilty, Double Negative, and Some Very Messy Medieval Magic (click for my reviews)–(almost) all about kids facing impossible events that would break most of us. Lee shows how to overcome and thrive.

  1. Hi Jacqui – it’s an interesting read – one I enjoyed albeit I’ve no idea about kids (don’t have any), nor the American way of life … but Lee brings her characters to life, while the plot/s make for some for thought-provoking aspects about life in general. A great book for a YA present … cheers and all the best Lee – Hilary
