Natural Selection is Book 3 of my trilogy, Dawn of Humanity:
A historical thriller in the spirit of Jean Auel, Dawn of Humanity follows a band of early humans as they struggle to survive in a world where Nature is King, where they are prey not predators.
New tribe members, intimidating changes, and an unexpected end
In this final book of the trilogy, Lucy and her tribe leave their good home to rescue captured former-tribemembers who are in grave danger. Unlike most tribes, Lucy’s includes a mix of species–a Canis, a Homotherium, and different iterations of early man. More will join and some will die but that is the nature of prehistoric life, when survival depends on a combination of man’s developing intellect and inexhaustible will to live. Each species brings unique skills to the task they must complete. Based on true events.

Here’s what I did the past month:
- I spent most of the month editing tiny bits of the story, little by little. I might finish that this month, but I’m not sure.
- I started thinking of the book launch though that’ll still be a few months away. I need a bunch of articles to share with hosts, a book trailer… I know there’s more…
- I’ve also started researching the next trilogy. Working title: Savage Land. It deals with a time in prehistory when our species almost became extinct. When Nature almost beat us…
I almost skipped this update because it seems like I got so little done. I struggled to make any progress for a few months, but finally, broke through (yay!) and am back to being productive. I’m looking at a publication date of February, a bit delayed from my projections (I’ve already adjusted the sidebar on my blog).
